Volunteer Day
Join us Saturday, April 28 for a day of work! We need lots of volunteers to help. We plan to Work on the dam, on the dock, and on the entry bedding areas. One goal is to work on the large flowerbed at the corner of CR 139 & CR 198 (at the main Lookout at Brushy Creek sign).
We need volunteers to help with this effort, as well as to offer suggestions as to what we should do with the flowerbed. We would like to find a visually appealing, yet very low maintenance, solution. Our current thoughts involve xeriscaping, but we are certainly open to suggestions! Also, if anyone is in the landscaping business and might be able to help us procure materials at a discount, that would be very helpful as well.
To volunteer to help with the planning and/or implementation of the flowerbed refurbishment, please respond ASAP to landscaping@thelookout.org. You may also respond if you can't help with this particular project, but would like to join the landscaping committee to help with future landscaping improvements.
Also proposed is some repair work on the dock at the park, as well as some cleaning at the dam. We might need a gas powered pressure washer.
We'd like to get as much done on this day as we can and appreciate all available help.
