Road Repair Plans
The Lookout was notified today that all of our roads will be patched, sealed as necessary, and overlaid with at least 1 1/2 inches of asphalt in the 2007-2008 program.
The reason for the two year span is that our system is too large to be done in one year. Based on condition and traffic volumes, Tonkawa Ridge, Apache Pass, and Comanche Circle will be done in 2007 and Lookout Circle, Brushy Creek Trail, and Sentry Point will be done in 2008. The work should commence after October when the weather is more favorable for success.
One of our neighbors has been working with the county as a volunteer to try to get them to overlay the roads in the Lookout before the increasing traffic tears them up beyond maintenance. If left to go as they are, the roads will begin to deteriorate at an accelerated rate toward failure.
