Hutto Approves Site B for WWTP
The City of Hutto approved the LCRA recommendation of Site B (as in BAD) for the new wastewater treatment plant on a six to one vote at tonight's City Council meeting. Christina Cox was the lone dissenting vote. Site B is adjacent to the Lookout on the Northeast Corner.
The site should be operational in the year 2010 with 2 MGD (million gallons per day) flow. They estimated it to be 4 MGD by 2015.
We will have more information in the next few days as to our next efforts. We will need to work with the LCRA and the City to minimize the impact of Site B on the Lookout.
