Board Meeting Minutes
Topics included an architectural review, neighborhood speeding, and repairs at the park.
Full Minutes:
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Al, Enrique, Ray, Cliff, LaJoy, Gene, Johnny and Lu. Dan Broadhead was also present as a guest of the board. The minutes from the January 7 meeting were approved.
The board first addressed the issues brought forth by Dan Broadhead. He had submitted a plan for a steel building to be located behind his house and received a rejection from the ACC. Dan requested reasoning on the rejection and brought up other structures in the neighborhood that would also be considered violations by the board's reasoning. The board explained that the other issues and structures were being addressed by the board and were considered violations of the deed restrictions. Dan is to resubmit his plans for a second review by the ACC. Cliff followed with an update on recent plans submitted to the ACC for approval.
The issue of speeding throughout the neighborhood was the next item of discussion. The county sheriff will be contacted to check on the possibility of posting more signs and request that the neighborhood be patrolled regularly.
Ray reported that the Rules Committee has been hard at work revising the deed restrictions. They should have something for the board to review at the next meeting.
The Landscape Committee followed with an update on the landscape project for the entrances. The main entrance and 2 of the other entrances are complete. The board is to get a bid on cleaning up the dam area around the lake.
Enrique reported that the website is still a work in progress and several useful changes have already been made.
The next order of business was a report on violations. Postcards were sent out regarding loose dogs in the neighborhood. This seemed to solve the problem.
Autogate is to fix the gate at the park. It was reported that a resident was responsible for the damage, and that they
had insurance to cover the damage.
The signs for the park were approved. The board decided that prohibiting swimming at the lake would benefit the
neighborhood for insurance reasons.
Two bids were received for repairing the dock. The bid from Lonestar Docks was approved. It is to be confirmed
that they will use new wood and reconstruct the handrails before the final approval.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
